On the page 187 of the Day Light Opening the Lotus of the Buddha's Teaching, biography of Yongzin Yeshi Gyaltsen, composed by the eighth Dalai Lama Jampal Gyatso, Penchen Lobsang Choekyi Gyaltsen said,

Especially those from Tashi Lhunpo are being misled by this new dharma protector. Therefore, the dharma protectors which were practised and propitiated by Panchen Lobsang Choekyi Gyaltsen should be enough. On the other hand, if you newly propitiate an evil ghost, it will become a great source of trouble; therefore you should all pay special attention to this.
